East London Rugby Football Club has marked Armed Forces Day (28 June) by saluting and celebrating the work of the armed forces community.
Armed Forces Day takes place every year on the final Saturday of June. It is an opportunity for people to show their support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community from troops currently serving, to service families, veterans, Reservists and cadets.
Club Co-Chair Kat Salthouse said: “The work of our armed services doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. We are proud to salute those past and present who have served, and continue to serve, to keep us safe.”
Kat joined East London RFC Titans Juniors Head Coach Graham Jones, right, and Titan parent Barnaby Newton to show the club’s support for the day. Kat said: “Armed Forces Day makes sure those who serve know how much we value them and how grateful we are for their dedication.”
