East London Rugby Football Club presented a framed match shirt to independent family-owned funeral directors T. Cribb & Sons to thank them for their sponsorship during the club’s Platinum Jubilee season 2022/23.

T. Cribb & Sons was established in 1881 by Thomas Cribb, great-grandfather of the present senior partners John and Graham Harris. The company’s expertise is gained from generations of experience in offering guidance, support and care in arranging funerals that are as unique as the lives they celebrate.

Based in Beckton, the company also have branch offices in Barking, Benfleet, Canning Town, Chadwell Heath, Cranham, Custom House, Debden, Elm Park, Hackney, Hornchurch, Leigh-on-Sea, Loughton, Pitsea, Rainham, Upminster, and West Ham.

The funeral directors were Silver level sponsors of the rugby club last season. They were presented with a match day team shirt which has been decorated with the company’s logo on the right sleeve. Funeral director John Harris is pictured with the framed shirt.

East London RFC Chair Simon Crick said: “We thank John and T. Cribb & Sons for their generosity. They are the foremost funeral directors and undertakers across East London and Essex with their own fleet of classic hearses and their own horse-drawn division. “To keep the club afloat we rely solely on the subscription fees our members pay to play the sport they love, a combination of fundraising activities, sponsorship and donations, and increasingly our volunteers spending money out of their own pockets. The Silver level sponsorship package is worth £750 and includes shirt sponsorship, your company name and logo on the club website and social media platforms, social membership of East London RFC including drinks, access to a club ballot for England international tickets, and a club tie and pin badge.
