Chance to develop new young talent

East London RFC are delighted to announce a new partnership with Queen Mary University RFC in Mile End which will ensure a pathway into quality rugby for students.
East London head coach Eddie Gooby is delighted to have a group of young players joining the club. He said: "It is an exciting prospect that we can get three men's teams out each week and now hopefully a fourth. And the Vixens ladies are also looking forward to picking up some new players as well."
The partnership means that not only are the student players eligible to wear the maroon and blue of East London but they will keep their own playing identity of Queen Mary University RFC and be entered into Rugby Football Union Under-23 competitions. Coach Gooby will also push players forward for the Essex Under-20 squad.
All Queen Mary students will benefit from discounted membership of East London RFC, offering weekly matches with guaranteed game time, twice-weekly training sessions, and a full social calendar.
East London RFC chairman Simon Crick: "We can't wait to see how this partnership develops over the season. We offer a warm welcome to the Queen Mary University students and look forward to seeing you in action. Have a great season."
