Four teams playing for second week in a row

Four East London teams are again in action at the weekend (9 and 10 Dec) and all four will be looking to repeat last week’s performances when they recorded four wins.

At the Memorial Ground in West Ham on Saturday, the 1st XV, currently fourth in the Counties 1 Essex league table with 33 points from ten games, host fifth place Upminster on 27 points from ten games. Kick-off is at 2pm.

East London 1st XV versus Upminster: 1. Sam Corbett; 2. Lewis Bourke (C); 3. Chris Brown; 4. Eoin Kelly; 5. Sean Gill; 6. Luke Staples-Preston; 7. Will Sheridan; 8. Nick Parrott; 9. Second team the Wyverns make the short trip to Ravens RFC in a Group 1 Automotive Essex Merit Table Division 3 West tie. The match kicks off at Gale Street in Barking at 2pm with the second placed Wyverns looking to add to their 25 points from seven games against rivals who have 13 points from seven games.

On Sunday (10 Dec) East London’s ladies’ side the Vixens host Welwyn Ladies at the Memorial Ground in a Women’s National Challenge 1 South East (North) fixture. Kick-off is 2pm. The sixth placed Vixens have 16 points from seven matches, one place ahead of opponents who have 11 points from seven matches.
