Another tough test overcome at Canvey Island

Seven tries by seven different East London players blew away Canvey Island by 49-19 on Saturday.
The home side couldn't live with the pace of the visitors who had the points effectively wrapped up by half-time.
Playing up Canvey's notoriously sloping pitch and into the wind, East London had the lead on six minutes. Good play from the forwards set up inside centre Lachlan McKenzie on the burst to score under the posts. Full back Alex Pearmain converted.
The lead was extended on 15 minutes. Right wing Sean Cooper chipped over the Canvey defence and outpaced them to score as the ball rolled over the try line. Pearmain converted from wide on the right with a low floated kick.
Flanker Ed Brown added another six minutes later. A pass out of the side of the hand by fly half Ryan Billinghurst set left wing Andrew Little away. He sidestepped two tackles and fed Brown who scored. Pearmain converted.
The bonus point for four tries was wrapped up three minutes later. Scrum half Will Brown, not to be outdone by brother Ed, brushed off a Canvey defender to score under the posts. Pearmain again converted.
On 31 minutes Little stole possession in his own ten metre area. He ran 50 metres unchallenged and created the opportunity for outside centre Kevin O'Donoghue to score. Pearmain converted.
East London conceded late on to go in at the break 7-35 ahead. Wounded pride saw Canvey come out fighting. They added another try on 45 minutes before East London had prop Mantas Urbonavicius yellow carded on 50 minutes. The home side failed to take advantage and replacement forward Ben Stern scored his debut try for the visitors on 65 minutes with Pearmain keeping up his perfect conversion record.
Canvey scored a consolation unconverted try two minutes later but Pearmain scored with his hands rather than his right boot with two minutes remaining. Number eight Dan Bracken picked up from a scrum and offloaded to Will Brown who fed Pearmain to dart through to score. He then added the conversion.
Head coach Eddie Gooby said: "We knew we had to start fast if we were to negate Canvey using the advantage of the pitch and conditions first. We deserved this win and all credit to the players."
East London remain in third in London 3 Essex but are now just four points behind leaders Chelmsford with a home match against Old Cooperians on Saturday.
